Recently liberated a G2 Roadblock. Didn't take any pictures but (too busy cuttin' that bubble open!). Man... old blisters are significantly tougher to slice open than current toys! Normally when I cut open a carded toy my blade just cuts through the blister like a knife through butter... but with older carded toys I gotta do a careful sawing action. And sometimes I end up shifting that whole part of the blister, tearing part of the card anyway. There were a few times where I would cut around the corners, but use scissors to snip along edges to try and minimise card-tearing blister shifting. I guess blisters must harden up with age or something. :/

I'll guarantee you there is a lot less plastic in a modern blister than one from 25 years ago. Materials science keeps advancing and application of solid mechanics gradually makes it's way into packaging design.

That explains a lot. Cheers. I never cut open G1/G2 blisters when I was collecting them as a kid... just ripped them off the card (though always did so as carefully as possible )

    Liberated G2 Breakdown!

Now before I get the predictable responses, yes I did try to trade this for a loose one but no luck. It seems there are more sealed than loose ones floating around. In fact there are two sealed ones on eBay right now, so you are more than welcome to go buy those.

Looking to buy lucky draw Armada Prime and Diaclone Marlboor Wheeljack.

Cool. I collect loose 90's marvel figures and I want them in the best condition possible. Best way to do that is buy carded ones and open 'em up! I dig it.

Tears of joy. Nothing more fun than crackin' open a toy to play with.
