Default Arcadwave (Soundwave Arcade machine alt mode custom)

    Hey folks.

I would like to share something I made recently, I posted this over at tfw2005 but I thought I would put it here as well.

    Introducing, Arcadwave!
If you ever wondered what Soundwave would be like if he was an arcade cabinet, well wonder no more

I designed his guy online using tinkercad and then printed him with a low end rep-rap clone (3D printer).

Everything incorporates into his alt mode with no parts-forming, unless you count the gun and laserbeak.

Thanks for all the positve comments

This guy was kinda an experiment. He's the first TF I have designed in 3D and I think he came out well, 3D printers are awesome

If you look on the bottom of the first page of the tfw2005 thread you see pics of his transformation sequence for any that are interested.
The gun in those pics is the old version, I redesigned it so that it splits in two and also becomes laserbeak. Soundwave needs a minion

I did look at putting this guy on shapeways but he would be stupid expensive.
Just one build plate of parts cost $195 for the cheapest material. Considering that he has 5 build plates worth of parts he would wind up around $1000

That is sooo expensive! The printer only cost $500 and excluding wasted materials due to my inexperience Arcadewave is made of about $30 worth of ABS plastic (it did take a solid week to print though).
