I'm not sure how far the newer stores they've got at old TRU locations will get. They seem to have bought out a lot of the old TRU stock, and let me tell you whoever was ordering stock for TRU must have had a hole in their head. Even at a discounted price, I don't know how they think they're going to moving 25 Titans Returns Sky Shadows at $40 AUD, in Perth, from a retail location.
I'm really just here for the free food and open bar.

There's that other element. If they didn't pick up some of the TRU stores, then it opened the opportunity for competitors.

I googled Lake Haven. As of 2016 population was 3,578 plus Trev.
That may have something to do with it.
Was there enough of a client base to be able to support a dedicated toy store in the region?

There's a toymate in Tuggerah too, which isn't too far from Lakehaven also the Lakehaven Toymate was tucked away out in the back carpark of that shopping centre.

So they basically cannibalized their own market share.

Yeah I found it quite hard to find. Google Maps showed it inside the main complex and it wasn’t till I read one of the physical shop maps inside the centre that I discovered it was in a totally seperate building and had to go back to the car and drive over there

Target has Ultra Class Cyberverse toys for $29, down from $39.

I was able to pick up a Shockwave and Starscream. A shame they didn’t have Strika

I just had a look at the Target website, and they are on sale in the current catalogue, along with Warriors and 1-steps.
I'll post up a news posting for the sale. (now to find a store with the new 1-steps, before Wednesday when this sale ends)
