Surprise, surprise. Hasbro Australia does't have a clue.

Huh, that's actually... not a bad price. After all, I spent $150 on MP-11 and that was a lot less plastic than what you get here.

Thanks Griffin as always for getting this info for us!

I was thinking that this may end up being the best option.
Shipping could be a pain though. And it assumes TRU America goes with a $100 price point.

To give them the benefit of the doubt, perhaps nobody expressed interest in acquiring it through Hasbro AU. Instead TRU AU is potentially sourcing it through its US headquaters and their exclusive deal.

If that is the case, it raises interesting questions regarding Hasbro AU's wholesale price, and whether it made it cost prohibitive for stores to stock MP Prime.

Well, that's pathetic! But, disturbingly, not in the least bit surprising!

    - Different paint apps

    - Looks like the plastic is different quality

At $150, I reckon it'll be difficult to justify for non collectors. The box has a nice window display, but looks like it's easily dwarfed if placed side by side with any MISB modern leader class transformer
Is that correct about the smokestacks? They look like the TakaraTomy ones

Just wondering the differences between this one and the very first MP Optimus Prime (apart from the extras - trailer, roller, spike figure, etc.) ?

(It's just that I need to save funds for that third party "Devastator" figure...)

It's a brand new mould, in scale with MP Grimlock, Hot Rod, and Starscream, as well as any future MP releases.

Different transformation scheme, with other hidden bonuses, and generally greater show likeness.
