I bought a longstrike, and it's pretty good even with the barrel attached once modded. I only removed the ar's.

when does this ever end?
-you buy a stock gun and it sux b*lls, so you mod it for more power.
-but when you mod it, the darts fly all over the place cos its dishing out too much power,
-then you have to mod your darts so they fly straight
-but now when you use it too much cos its cool, it breaks cos of too much power.
-then you start thinking about airsoft with metal components for durability.

fortunately no breaks yet, only crack and stress marks which needed some repair...

however, the padding i put in there to reduce the impact didnt last very long!!!

I also cant find foam backer rods anywhere in perth, so ive had to modify the original nerf darts with hotglue alone and hotglue + weights, but my darts are getting f'd up when shooting against hard surfaces...

i really need a better technique to make modified darts/stefans.
can anyone here recommend some?

cos theres quite a lot to consider. such as
is the gun a spring plunger or airtank?
does the dart need to be long or short
does the barrel need to be extended?
does the dart need a tight fit or perfect fit?
does the dart need to be heavy or light?

i have some foam thats simmilar to the stock foam fit wise, but is a bit firmer.

Picked up a Longshot CS-6 and another Maverick for the grand total of $25 today!! Both were clearance items at K-mart - the Longshot supposedly did not fire properly and was marked down to $20. After fiddling around with it in the store, I managed to get it working properly and took it. The Maverick was missing all its darts hence its $5 price. Life is good.

heh good stuff! I was scouring my local K-Marts clearance sections but none ever seemed to pop-up
