Anybody know a place that still has this guy in-stock?

Rumour is the release is part of a May mayhem event like last year when Quickslinger and Brakeneck were released to many online stores.

Currently it looks like only a very few places are putting up prelistings as "guesses". I'm waiting to see if there's an official announcement at BotCon this weekend and would expect proper preorders to follow.

I ended up just waiting for it to be released by Hasbro Asia and bought it from the hasbro official store on Taobao for 129 yuan. I think the same will happen with Groove too.

Now that people are getting the Hasbro Groove from Asian sources, some comparison photos and a listing have been posted up, as the Hasbro version isn't exactly the same as the Japanese version.

• Hasbro uses silver screws, Takara black.
• Hasbro version has copyright and CE tampos on back of leg.
• Slight remoulding to guns. Takara has detended handles, Hasbro’s are more cylindrical.
• Not clear from photos: Takara’s windshield is a slightly more greenish-blue (almost imperceptible)
• Not clear from photos: the two red light (indicators?) either side of the windshield are pinker on the Hasbro version.
• The Takara knee is just a simple pin joint. On the Hasbro version, that pin has a flat head on it.

Groove is up for preorder on BBTS

According to one of the online stores selling Groove in America, the small release this month to online stores will be followed by a larger release in October... so if true, it should be a lot cheaper later (than the US$25-30 price at some online sources for a US$16 toy).
