Man I loved that thing, it was such an awesome toy that was also incredibly show accurate.

Argh, I hate having younger siblings sometimes, otherwise I might of still had him to this day!

Those Inspector Gadget toys are awesome! I used to love the show as a kid but I don't think I ever bought any toys.

Thanks for all the great comments about my Inspector Gadget collection, some of it is from back in the day when i used to watch the cartoon afterschool on the ABC (channel 2) show-The afternoon Show, hosted by James Valentine...
Sorry to say none of it is for sale...but i wish everyone the best in tracking down this memorabilia from a great 80's cartoon!

Looking at more pics of your car. It is different to the one I had. The transformation was simple. The front was about the same but you just took the back off and flip it around. The colours were also different.

wow, that is interesting and would be great to find out exactly what yours was,Vert!
the one pictured is approx 18.5cm from to back...about 14cm across the front wheels and the body is about 6.5cm across the body at the car roof...to give an idea of size.both cars were purchased in a window box with a foam tray insert new in the 80s.

Hey, I had the van as a kid.

Still in a cupboard at home.

I remember the Penny and Brain in the boot thing.

I also had the Inspector Gadget toy with the cloth coat, and all the gadgets.

    That thing was awesome.
