I'm on a strict diet as I'm planning to lose weight - would've loved to try the Double Down though - might do so - but right after I'd probably want to kill myself

EDIT: What do you guys think of Bacon? It's tasty, but overrated imo.

My friend and I had lunch at KFC yesterday, he decided to try the double (filet) about an hour later we were walking past another kfc and he decided to go in and get the zinger version because he wanted to try both of them, he said they tasted pretty nice (Filet was better)
i think he just lost 10 years from his lifespan

i dont see what the big problem is
its just 2 fillets of chicken
its just like any other meal from there in the end, you eat a couple of pieces of regular chicken and BAM same amont of fat
this one just has a heap more publicity

on a side note theyre amazing

I'm planning on tackling the Double Down tomorrow for lunch, so shall report once I've tried it.

The concept of it kinda disgusts me - no bread to soak the fat?

Then again I do eat Ultimate Whoppers from HJ and they contain some 5000kJ and 80g of fat from recollection, so it's obviously not the (lack of) healthy content that disgusts me

Food in China's interesting... had some incredibly yummy tofu for dinner tonight. On the other hand I also saw some roast dog hung up for sale on the side of the street. Glad I saw that well _after_ I had my dinner... i.e. not too early that it made me lose my appetite, but not too soon after that I would've thrown up!

Yes, I know it's all culture shock -- there's nothing inherently wrong with eating dog over any other source of meat per se. One of my students is a staunch vegetarian, and a few weeks ago she sometimes tries to convert everyone else in class to vegetarianism - one time she kinda half jokingly implied that vegetarians are morally better people. I then reminded her that Hitler was a vegetarian... that got the whole class in a lol.

Having fried rice with the traditional ingredients + bean sprouts, surprisingly the bean sprouts add a nice crunch to it. Also put in a tablespoon of hot chilli sauce too!!

EDIT: Have you guys heard of the show Man Vs. Food? I've got S1 and oh man I envy American eateries so much. There's one episode where the host Adam Richman eats a 72 OUNCE STEAK with a salad, shrimp cocktail, dinner salad, baked potato and a dinner roll in less than an hour!!
