A comparison pic with the original TF-Cybertron toy (from 2005), and, the War For Cybertron toy (from 2010) to show where they got the colour scheme from for the YOTH toy....

And unpacking of both YOTH toys...

Voted 'Only if' you don't already owned the Cybertron mould. In this instant, bigger is NOT better.

The estimated AU$190 locally is a killer.

Does it play the same sounds as the original?

Four (new) different sounds, compared to the single sound of the original.

I noticed the red paint on a section of the right inner thigh was not applied properly and someone (from the factory?) tried to hand paint where it should have been. It's only about 5mm in diameter but the craftmanship is craftmansh*t. This unit should have been rejected and never saw the light of day outside the factory. Instead they hope some unsuspecting consumer wouldn't notice their 'custom' paint job.

Seeing them side by side, I can see parents thinking there is more value on the Screamer toy.

One of the few Cybertron era toys I bought that I feel was a massive waste of money and of shelf space. I also prefer the original paintjob.

Wonder if we will see Thundercracker and Skywarp repaints just to get more $$$ out of the mold?

I agree, I felt the same way about Cybertron Starscream, he just felt to me like an up-sized legends figure.

I also like the Cybertron version better than the YOTH version.
