Default New Kre-O Devastator Vs Ironhide set

This certainly showed up without warning, as it has been found in a US ToysRUs store... and will probably annoy those who already bought the Devastator set.

As a ToysRUs exclusive, the Kre-O Devastator set is made even bigger by adding in a small Ironhide (resembling the TFPrime figure), a 7th Kreon (human), plus an out-house to go with the construction site.
But wait, there's more... Instead of the green Devastator Kreon (minifigure), this set gets the Gen2-coloured yellow/orange Kreon.
So maybe the recently listed Gen2 coloured Devastator on the Hasbro site was not to say that it would be a minifigure that would be sold on its own anywhere, but was Hasbro's way of tipping us off that something new was coming for the Devastator set.

The original set had 560 pieces:

The TRU exclusive set has 781, meaning the Ironhide is a decent build of about 200 pieces (with about 20 pieces for the out-house and extra Kreon). Vortex is almost 200 pieces... or for those with the first series, that would make Ironhide a little bigger than Ratchet or Prowl, and a little smaller than Sideswipe.

Maybe the Hound Kreon (which was shown off at the beginning of the year) suggests another store exclusive has been put together as well.

Price-wise, the regular Devastator was US$80, while this one is US$95 (not bad considering a 30% increase in size for only a 20% increase in price, and a store exclusive at that).
We probably won't see this here though, even if Kre-O wasn't being discounted at heavy losses, because the AU$ amount for this set would be $150-200 if TRU released it here.

On the bright side, for those who already bought the regular Devastator set, this would allow for displaying Devastator and the individual Constructions.

I think the added extras really boost this set. And Lew Stringer should be happy that 'John' finally gets his official Transformers release. Pun intended.

If I could import that set once they have one of many in store 'buy one, get 50% of a second' sales I would. Time to hit up some contacts..

Pics of Ironhide, to show how big it is (bigger than I expected).

Ironhide, the out-house, the extra kreon (driver), yellow Devastator next to the green one from the original set, and Ironhide (same as original set).

With the rest of the second series vehicles, to show that it is about the same size as most of the others.

From the review topic, some extra details for anyone thinking about getting this set (somehow, as it would be expensive to import)... or if it actually shows up here.

    Pricing of each set:
    Regular - US$80
    TRU excl - US$95
(if either of these hit Australia, they will be at least AU$150... discounted to about $20 within 6 months )

    Pieces in each set:
    Regular - 560
    TRU excl - 781

    TRU exclusive set has extra:
    - Ironhide build set
    - orange outhouse
    - human Kreon driver
    - hook for Hightower (gives you the choice of wrecking ball or hook)

    Has different:
    - Devastator Kreon is yellow instead of green
    - box is bigger, but doesn't need to be as there is enough room in the original one for the extra parts.
    - name of set is "Autobot Assault Devastator", as the regular set is called "Destruction Site Devastator".

And is the same as the regular set:
    - Devastator/Constructicons
    - 5 human Kreon construction workers
    - building site, office, signs
    - Ironhide Kreon

This photo shows the character art on the spines like the first series had, but since this second series has the "dark energon" gimmick (one purple Kreon abdomen included in every set), the character art on each is ruined by using it.
The TRU Devastator though is left fully coloured, probably to make it look more obvious that it is different to the regular set.

This one is from the top, which has extra character art (the first series didn't, but since most of these sets have more than one character in the box... it makes it a bit fairer to have both somewhere, and at least some art doesn't have the stupid purple chests).
This photo also shows the size difference between the two Devastator sets.

It's worth noting that the product code on the outside of the box (A1266) was the product code given to the yellow Devastator Kreon on the Hasbro site... pretty much confirming that it is not being released on its own in any way, but was their way of leaking the upcoming existence of the store-exclusive set (they usually can't feature or promote store-exclusives at Toyfair, so maybe can't do it on their website either in case it upsets other store chains for not promoting their exclusives either).
