Default New version of Stan Bush's 'The Touch', and concert DVD

Stan Bush, who did a couple of songs for the 1986 TFs movie (The Touch, Dare), re-released The Touch last year before TF2, sung differently... complete with a Rap segment.

It didn't do too well, and I don't think it was ever officially released outside of Youtube.

Now, thanks to his twitter announcement of his upcoming album release and impending DVD release of his 2009 BotCon concert... we have an all new version, complete with TF2 images and no Rap.

And for a sample of his upcoming Concert DVD release.

New Album "Dream the Dream" Arrives 09.15.10 in iTunes and on StanBush.com!

It is a vast improvement but it is now lacking in comedy value because this guy is missing:

Seriously, although the song is an improvement from the the 'rap' version, it is still lacking, probably because he is trying to mimic the style of the Bay Movie soundtrack. Stan Bush is at his best when he is performing in his traditional retro style like the original The touch or the end song for War for Cybertron.

Now I can't get that remixed song out of my head! Thank you Stan Bush.

If people had never heard the original and listened to the song without the clip they would probably say

"gee wizz bro- that sounds kinda sweet mmmaaaaattteee!"

    I like it.

I told Stan at Botcon, that this new version sounded more like a Bond opening credits theme now... and after a few moments of him playing it through his head, he agreed. (I could see him thinking something about its new potential...)

I usually like reworkings of 80's songs. but this is..not...good.

I'd much rather see the Glee kids do the Touch rather than this.

I like it! Haven't heard the version with the rap (nor wish to?!),but this version brings the song up to date and would be great in TF3! I like the different vocal phrasing, the song has had quite a makeover!
...As far as the originals(the touch,dare)-when i was little i put a tape recorder in front of the t.v while watching the cartoon movie on video and taped these songs to listen to;complete with movie dialogue over them!

Yeah... I like this less than the first version with the creepy rap guy. At least that made me laugh. This made me curl up in the foetal position and rock back and forth in a corner covering my ears. Why Stan, why?
