    Default This Old Body Of Mine...

    [QUOTE=snaketales;349342
    I do have the Loose Canon reconstruction of this story and was struck by the similarities between thr two. I suspect there was some sharing? I didn't check the credits closely.[/QUOTE]

    Not impossible to assume. Apparently the Restoration Team used the Loose Cannon recon of 'The Tenth Planet' as a base for their own back in 1999.

    Now that's one story I'm hanging out to see on DVD. Wonder if they'll reuse that recon or animate the missing episode a la Reign of Terror and The Invasion.
    I think I'd rather the recon be reused so it could flow into what little footage does exist of episode 4.

    retcon = retroactive continuity
    recon = reconnaissance

    'The Tenth Planet', along with 'The Ice Warriors' (and possibly 'The Moonbase') are set to be animated and released later this year. The First Doctor's outro will be done by the same company that handled 'The Reign of Terror', while a new company are working on 'The Ice Warriors'.

    Though I've heard rumours the original recon (or at least the telesnaps) might see a release in some form, unless I'm misremembering.

    Recon can also mean recondition, or reconstruction.
    And probably lots of other things, depending on the context.

    There's a rumour going around that they're going to reveal the Doctor's real name. So before that happens (if it happens), let's have fun speculating about what we would like his real name to be, or should be.

    I'd like to see it as this.
