In the second Series, there are eight 8-packs, eight 5-packs, and 24 Single Packs (each with a code on the pack to know what is inside).
Each multi-pack is a set assortment - the hidden figure is not random, it is just hidden.

Note that even though there are duplicates in various packs, there are some figures that are only found once in certain packs (which also goes for the
single packs - not all 60 figures are released in the single packs, but some of them are ONLY released in the single packs).
The codes and assortments can be found on the tfwiki page. They even highlight the recommended sets to purchase, to get a complete set while minimising the number of unavoidable duplicates.

Some of the multi-packs (the ones to buy with the 17 single packs listed on TFWiki, to end up with the least duplicates)...

    The Botbots in their tribes...

    Thanks for the pics Griffin.

I’ve bought a few multipacks and about a dozen of the blind packs. Overall the quality is again high, paint apps very consistent and most are flawless, transformations are fun and mostly easy, but there are some very tough parts where arms don’t want to come out! The repaints are different enough (hockey puck as a sound bar and the rotten food) but some of the molds they have chosen to repaint baffle me.

Wave 2 is worth getting partially, get the new ones, the instruments in particular are perfect and some of the repaints sublime, but I doubt anyone will really want to get all 60 of them! (Except completionists, who really need to follow the buyers guide!)

I wasn't expecting to get all 60 of them in one day, but doing the rounds at the Robina shopping centre on Saturday, I was fortunate to find almost
all of the 5-packs and single packs at BigW during their 20% off sale, which made me willing to pay full price on the 8-packs at Toymate (because BigW
weren't stocking them). I also had to pay full price on one single pack at Kmart because one of the 17 I needed was already sold at the BigW store.

I went with a list of the packs I needed from TFWiki, which allows you to avoid buying 4 of the 8 8-packs and 3 of the 8 5-packs, as well as 7 of the
single packs. That's a massive 54 duplicates that were avoided, which would have been 68 duplicates (more than the 60 toys in this second
series), because you end up with 14 unavoidable duplicates when buying the recommended sets.
I'm just glad there are numbers on the single packs, and we know what is in the bubbles on the multi-packs.

I also love the master cartons (display box) for the single packs, because of the artwork on them. When I buy an almost complete box of 24, it has
allowed me to take the display box and 17-ish single packs to the registers and not be questioned about it, because I space them out enough to look like it was a full box.

    Two down, one to go...

One of my favourites from this second series is Hamurai, which almost looks like Bludgeon with an alt-mode of a mouldy ham leg... because it is the first
Botbot to come with an accessory - you pull out the ham bone from the top, and it becomes a sword it can hold in robot mode.
One that was probably most disappointing (of the redecos) was the toilet roll... unless you put it next to the first series version, it doesn't look any
different. Obviously the toilet roll needs to be white (the second one is a dull white), but the bot modes are both blue - one is dark, one is light. It seems like a bit of a waste.

    Looking good.

I picked up a batch over the weekend, however couldn't find any 8 packs, and limited 5 packs.

I'd love that wiki site to also asterisk which ones are repaints. As it is, it looks like I'm getting all of them just cause it's too hard to sort through it all while in store.

I think overall this series is better than the first one. Finally i was able to grab Hamurai and the coffee machine, though one of my favourite the in-sole rubber shoe is still at large
I've got all the 8 and 5 packs i need to complete the set and thanks to major retailers and toyworld clearance this set cost way less than the first series.

    The first 121...

(actually... according to an image on TFW, there were another 13 added to wave 1 that still haven't been released yet)

It was such a disappointment. I'd been looking forward to getting these for my daughter and got her a blind pack one. Inside was a black cap that turned into a shark and she hated it - so many cute ones on offer and it was probably the worst one she could have gotten. It's turned her right off them.

My son on the other hand thinks they are great. I'm hoping that I can find some cuter ones down the line to turn my daughter on to them. I saw a 5 pack the other day that had one really cute one but four others. I offered to buy it for her but she didn't like the other ones so I got a different pack for my son that had ones like a blue football, a chilli dog etc - he ws pretty chuffed.

I hope they do more 'cutsie' packs in the future to make them more appealing to young girls. She is interested in Transformers but at the age of 4 they need to be either pink or obviously female for them to appeal to her sensibilities.

Note: this site lists their individually packed ID numbers but I noticed two possible errors - and I think whoever made this list wasn't sure. They've listed Javasaurus Rex as 12 (21) and Songwave was 21 (12) but I can confirm that 12 is Songwave and 21 is Javasaurus Rex. Both Tha_Phantom and I ended up getting spare Songwaves each because of this error. So yeah, if you're after Javasaurus Rex go for 21 and not 12!
