Kabaya wave 8 - Star Convoy and Darkwings

Coming out May 27th in Japan is another set of 3 Kabaya model kits, in the regular "size class".

Star Convoy - a Japanese exclusive toy, able to convert into all three modes (Bot, Truck, Micromaster base), and similar to the Kabaya Dia Altas, this one comes with a little lump of red plastic for Hot Rodimus (the Micromaster in the real set).
Buster - Japanese version of Dreadwind
Hydra - Japanese version of Darkwing

Just like the original toys, the Kabaya Buster and Hydra can merge to form Darkwings... and each comes with a tiny little "Powermaster".

One let down though, is due to the limited plastic colours they can have on the model kits, we aren't getting Sky Garry and Grandus to go with Star Convoy. Hydra and Buster had matching plastic colours, so were probably a necessary pairing in this set.
Maybe the next set will have the other two Micromaster bases, with something else.


These are worth getting if you can't afford the real things, as a representative of those real figures... often with similar transformations.
