Default GIJoe 3 to introduce MASK?

Hasbro have noted in the past that they'd prefer not to do a crossover of Transformers and GIJoe unless it is necessary (years down the track when both franchises have been exhausted)... but with all these other Hasbro franchises seeing big Movie formats, why not test out the MASK franchise before it has it's own movie.

A recent article for the third GIJoe Movie (expected in 2016) notes the inclusion of the Cobra Twins (Tomax and Xamot), and Matt Trakker, who is best known from the 80s cartoon M.A.S.K..

But it isn't definite though, as it has been noted that after Hasbro absorbed Kenner and its various brands (including M.A.S.K.), the character name of Matt Trakker was introduced into GIJoe (a bit like the Gobots name being absorbed into Transformers when Hasbro absorbed Tonka)... so it could have nothing to do with M.A.S.K., but wouldn't it be great to see the concept introduced in a small way to then become a spin-off movie of its own later.

That would be awesome to see M.A.S.K brought to life on the big screen... hopefully NOT by Michael Bay!

You think that with the references in Prime and the Knights of Unicron boxset that Hasbro has had this in the pipeline for a while now?

It would be awesome on the big screen but why should M.A.S.K get any better treatment than Transformers?

    Heck yes please a live-action M.A.S.K.

As long as an 80's IROC Z Camaro features somewhere in it. Preferably with wings.

As much as I love M.A.S.K. I would think this is a bit of a step in the wrong direction for joe. Retaliation was so much better that roc and I rather enjoyed the latest film with it's more faithful take on the franchise, a more real world modern military influence, etc.

I fear we would be heading straight back to the roc silliness again

Do a new cartoon and toyline instead hasbro! C'mon the time is now!

I don't know about live action as a lot of mask is more imaginary than realistic like gi joe is. It can work or fail badly.
    Would have preferred a cartoon

I don't imagine they would put to much of MASK into GIJOE 3. It would be only a memorable Cameo of a main character, so that they could launch a new franchise. Audiences will become familiar straight away, rather than just bringing a new franchise out of the blue. This could work.

Matt Trakker was introduced into the GI Joe toyline as Specialist Trakker. My one and only GI Joe Figure.

Personally I'd love to see a reboot of M.A.S.K I think if done right they could totally pull it off. They're kind of there already with the Stealth Force bizzo of the other movie lines. I'd like to see it seperate to GI Joe personally, only because I thought the movies were rubbish, but if Matt Trakker is a character and it spins off into it's own thing, I'd be fine with that.
