Default Bay has written the Story for TF2 himself?

Rotten Tomatoes have posted an interesting update for TF2:

"I've been writing Transformers 2," said Bay. "We've got our characters all designed. I always write all my scripts, my movies anyway so at least I've got something to give the writers. It's like a template. We have a really good outline so I worked on that."

I really feel for the poor writers who will have to make Bay's story usable.

Robert Orci and Alexander Kurtzman wrote the first Transformers movie. It sounds more like Bay is saying that he writes the basic story premise (re: template) and the actual writers flesh around that.

This is nothing new for Transformers - Transformers canon is typically dominated by forces outside of the writer's control, usually the toyline.

Keep in mind that Bay likes to say A LOT of things. If you follow the production history of the first movie, you will notice that Bay almost always mentions or says something completly inacurate to what is to happen on the real movie. I am not sure if he does it on purpose or expressing things from his own peculiar point of view, but its always out there.

If you want something that resembles accurate info it would be from Kurtsman or Orci. They have been known to spin the truth but you at least know that some essence of truth is in there somewhere. Fot Very accurate info, I am afraid that the leaks backed up with documents (photos, scans, etc) are the best but are dangerous when it comes to spoilers.

Transformers 1 was the work of genius. Give the man a Pulitzer Prize.

I was reading up on the G1 Battlechargers and this bio reminded me of someone:

"A pretty car makes an even prettier wreck."

Likes to watch things blow up -- the bigger the explosion the better. Uses parked cars and gas station fuel pumps for target practice. Usually very busy as a Battlecharger, but terrified of boredom. Maximum speed 300 km/h. Range: 900 km. Has high-energy particle beam rifle. Easily distracted by a beautiful car -- because he wants to destroy it, not admire it.

    Its Runabout's Bio: http://www.tfu.info/1986/Decepticon/...t/runabout.htm

The battlechargers would rock as movie bots. They not only fit Bay's style with their love for destruction and rebellion but are also humorous and fun.

If you don't know about them, read the G1 comic as the cartoon didn't do them justice.
