Powerbot Sideswipe Video.

Got the Powerbot Sideswipe toy yesterday, and took a minute video of the Light and Sound features - because of it's (fake) Australian accent.

It took several attempts to get this uploaded, but it is finally up for your viewing pleasure.

His only line was "Damn, I'm good.", so it's not unreasonable.

He also said something like 'outa my way' when he first appears. But yeah, two lines and some 'crowd noise' when with other Autobots doesn't give much to work with.
Then again, the various Electronic Devastator toys have phrases, and that character didn't even say a word in the Movie...

Sideswipe also had dialogue in the Egypt battle. He got a lot more dialogue and screen time than poor Jolt!

Considering the accent and Sideswipes weapons I'm almost dissapointed he doesn't say "That's not a knife..."lol

Okay...so I saw one of these in Target today and of course
pressed the talk button...And I nearly fell over laughing...


I was waiting for him to say:
"By Crikey...look at the size of that Decepticon"
Or
"How about we head to the servo for a few brews"
Or even
"Throw another Shrimpticon on the Barbe"

Why does he sound like that? Whats the point?


Everyone knows that if we get an Australian Transformer
in the live action films it will be a blue Ford ute that
always calls in sick for work and sit around drinking
copious amounts of motor oil...and his name will be
Gary...or Gazza to his mates.
