When we see Ravage in Beast Wars, he has the ability of invisibility. Did he possess this ability in his cassette form in G1?

In G1 Ravage has the ability to be nigh-invisible in the cover of darkness. Nothing to do with having a cloaking device or anything, he basically had ninja-like stealth.

Not quite, he could "virtually escape detection -- emits an electromagnetic emmission shield, has soundless walk, disappears in subdued light or shadow." but it wasn't the same Predator-style cloak he has in BW, he was just hard to see in the dark because he was black.

Pretty much.

BW Ravage is Ravage of the future, and having gotten himself rebuilt as a Predacon it makes sense that he'd upgrade his stealth abilities too. Whereas G1 Ravage's stealth really only worked when he was covered in darkness, BW Ravage's cloaking device allows him to remain invisible even in direct light.

Here's a pic of Ravage leaping out of the shadows and striking at Mirage. In the G1 episode "More Than Meets The Eye Part 2" there's a scene where Soundwave and Ravage are escaping from the Autobots' base (after having hacked into Teletraan-1) -- Ravage eluded the Autobots for a while by going into darkness, but they managed to find him thanks to Gears' infra-red searchlight. video link <--5:05 to 5:50

How big do you recon Ravage is? In that pic he looks to be comparably sized to Mirage. But I recall somewhere seeing in a TF/GI Joe cross-over him on a leash held by the Baroness.
