Default G2 Menasor and Defensor for sale on Facebook.

Looks like the seller from the infamous G2 Menasor eBay sale in 2014 is back and trying to offload another Menasor and a Defensor as well.

He's asking $16K for Menasor and $21K for Defensor. Given his previous actions I think that any interested party is going to approach this extremely skeptically. He may struggle to sell for those prices.

Sceptical because of the price or that they could be fakes?

No, he/she pulled a shifty last time. Supposedly he/she had only one G2 Stunticon set. Then a lil while later after he/she sold it, miraculously, he/she had another G2 Stunticon for sale. Bad form on their part.

If I remember it wrong anyone, please update

If I was the seller I'd never offer these up for sale - especially with what happened the first time. That buyers lights were on but there was no one was home at all.

Buyer knew at time of transaction (payment/handover) the seller had more sets, yet still went through with the sale. A couple of months later they realised they just paid $28K for a toy.

From what I remember, and I haven't gone back and read the thread again since it all happened, was that the buyer stated they were shown the other sets after they had paid. But it is just buyer vs seller so we'll probably never really know. But you are right. Some massive buyer's remorse kicked in afterwards.

And while it was never actually stated, the seller let it be assumed, and then never corrected that assumption, that this was the only set he had and the only complete set (minus the head) he was aware of. He also said he was acting as an agent selling them on behalf of someone else when they were his items.

It was a highly dubious way to conduct an auction.

I don't have any issue with the seller not stating at time of auction they have another set or two. From a sellers perspective they want to maximize the sale price. From a buyers perspective an obvious question would be - do you have any more?

Neither the acting as an agent bit, I can see how this could be suspect and it was unnecessary but he had the items and he wanted to sell. They provided plenty of photos, even photos of the sticker sheet in the bag as I recall. I doubt it would have affected the buyers at the time of bidding. A seller who just says 'the photos make up the description' is more annoying.

The buyer failed ebay 101 - they got caught up in the hype and didn't do the required level of research for the amount they were willing to spend (hey I research $10 items if I don't know anything about them).

If I had that amount to spend on toys - I wouldn't be buying some limited run G2's no matter how rare!
