Yeah I did some research and read up about the character - not really my cup of tea, but will probably get the toy anyway simply because it looks so cute.

Just can't decide whether to get the regular one or the vacation version (I have likes and dislikes from both sets in terms of included 'facial expressions')

Anyways, here's a couple of pics for tonight before I head out - NECA SFIV Guile:

i have vr lenses as well, i only turn it on when im not using a tripod. in able to get better stable shots without a tripod is to have a wider stance and try to keep your hands closer to your body as much as possible prevent less shakes.

as for using tripod i usually take off the vr option as this is really unnecessary as the tripod is already the one stabilising the whole camera and if you look closer maybe in photoshop, once the image is open it is quite sharper when you have vr off when using a tripod.

as for using timer, its a good idea. the less you handle the camera the better and sharper it would get "unless you have a tripod for a body hehehe". as for me i use a remote so its just one click away very useful and helps with battery life cos you dont have to wait for a timer.

I'm still figuring out the settings to use so it's just trial and error (lots of them) at the moment.

Nice job mate! Love the Gallardo.

And don't worry about trial and error - as long as you're taking notes and learning as you go along, it's all good!

This may not be the right place to post this, but who gives a stuff, here it is :

    Holy cow dude! That's spectacular!

Cheers VP! It's all hand held at the moment so once I get a tripod I can crank up the exposure time.

    Thanks mate!

As for tripods, I posted about my own personal experience with them here.
