    Default Japanese RID-2015 product list

Hasbro revealed their early Robots in Disguise products at NYCC, and apparently this is a translated list of the early toys for TakaraTomy in Japan.

    TAV01 Bumblebee 2500JPY (RID warrior?)
    TAV02 Grimlock 2500JPY (RID warrior?)
    TAV03 Strongarm 2500JPY (RID warrior?)
    TAV04 Steeljaw 2500JPY (RID warrior?)
    TAV05 Fixit 1500JPY
TAV06 Underbite 1500JPY (RID One Step changer?)
    TAV07 Roadblock 2500JPY
    TAV08 R Strongarm 2500JPY (RID warrior redeco?)
    TAV09 Swoop 2500JPY
    TAV10 Snarl 2500JPY
TAV11 Knockout 2500JPY (Beast Hunters deluxe?)
TAV12 Dreadwing 4000JPY (Beast Hunters deluxe with wrong price?)
TAVV01 Bumblebee vs Steeljaw 4500JPY (RID warrior 2pack?)
TAVV02 Grimlock vs rival 4500JPY (RID warrior 2pack?)
    HA01 Bumblebee 3600JPY (RID Hyperchange?)
    HA02 Grimlock 3600JPY (RID Hyperchange?)
HA03 Sideswipe 1500JPY (RID One Step changer?)
HA04 Prowl 1500JPY (AOE RID One Step changer?)
HA05 Junkion 1800JPY (AOE RID Power Battlers Junkheap?)
The guesses and comments in brackets are from TFW.

The HA ones could be the gimmick line to the TAV toys, similar to LA being the gimmick line for the Lost Age toyline (which was AD).

    No images yet.

An update on the Japanese RID toyline, with some early product pics (which are very blurry).
These give an idea of what the Hasbro toys will be like as well, but some might be place-holder silhouettes, which might not be the actual toy.
Some look like Animated silhouettes... and when you think about the animation we've seen so far of this RID cartoon, the design aesthetics of Animated toys could actually fit quite well in this new series. So we might see more Animated moulds being re-released as redecos, to pad out case assortments (but not see them in the cartoon).

    TAV-01 is Warrior Bumblebee
    TAV-02 is Warrior Grimlock
TAV-03 is Warrior Strongarm (pictures are swapped for TAV02 & 03)
    TAV-04 is Warrior Steeljaw
TAV-05 is a previously unseen One-Step Changer Fixit (same price as OSC Underbite)
    TAV-06 is One-Step Changer Underbite
TAV-07 is Roadblock, a redeco of Thrilling 30 Deluxe Scoop!?
TAV-08 is R Strongarm, presumably some redeco of Warrior Strongarm
TAV-09 is Swoop, seemingly a redeco of Animated Deluxe Swoop
TAV-10 is Snarl, seemingly a redeco of Animated Deluxe Snarl
TAV-11 is Knock Out, a redeco of Beast Hunters Deluxe Knock Out
TAV-12 is Dreadwing, a redeco of Beast Hunters Deluxe Dreadwing

    TAVVS-01 seems to be a two-pack of unchanged TAV-01 and -04
    TAVVS-02 seems to be a two-pack of unchanged TAV-02 and -08

HA-01 is Hyperchange Hero/Three-Step Changer Bumblebee
HA-02 is Hyperchange Hero/Three-Step Changer Grimlock
    HA-03 is One-Step Changer Sideswipe
HA-04 is AOE One-Step Changer Prowl
HA-05 is AOE Power Battler Junkheap, renamed as "Junkion"

More Japanese items from an online store site, and again the details are very vague, so I'm just posting this here for future reference.

    4/25 Transformers TAV13 Nemesis Prime 2,500yen
    4/25 Transformers TAV14 Ultra Magnus 4,300yen
    5/30 Transformers TAV15 Lockdown 3,500yen
    5/30 Transformers TAV16 Bombshell 1,300yen
    5/30 Transformers TAV17 Shrapnel 1,300yen
    6/27 Transformers TAV18 Drift 2,500yen

    6/27 Transformers TAV20 Adams (Cosmos) 1,300yen
    6/27 (provisional) Transformers TAVVS03 VS set 4,500yen

    4/25 Transformers TED06 Big Optimus Prime 3,600yen
    5/30 Transformers TED07 Bumblebee 1,500yen
    6/27 Transformers TED08 Steeljaw 1,500yen
    6/27 Transformers TED09 Grimlock 1,500yen

    4/25 Transformers Choro Q QT19 Convoy 999yen
4/25 Transformers Choro Q QT20 Megatron (Lamborghini Convention Neno) 999yen
    6/27 Transformers Choro Q QT21 Skids (Suzuki Hustler) 999yen
    6/27 Transformers Choro Q QT22 Drift (Mazda RX-7 FD3S) 999yen
The TED figures are assumed to be the gimmick (one-step, 3-step) toys, which were listed as HA figures in the previous listings.
And as with before, some of the TAV figures suggest the inclusion of Generations moulds or earlier.

Swoop, Shrapnel, Bombshell and Roadblock interest me. Lockdown too, if he ends up being a redeco of ROTF Lockdown.

From the preview images on RK, Swoop and Snarl look to be Animated redecos/rereleases. As such, Swoop could possibly stand in as my IDW/G1 Swoop.
Roadblock seems to share Gen Scoop's mould, which I find pretty cool, and need more 'Cons (if this guy is one)

Shrapnel is a definite if his colours match Hasbro's Bombshell, and if Takara's Bombshell has a better deco, then maybe I'll get both - especially if their decos match.

If Adams/Cosmos is a deep metallic green like Takara's Hoist, I might bite, otherwise Hasbro's is pretty sweet.

Odd that Japan would spilt "Generations" toys out from their Legends line in order to fill out the ranks of the RID2015 line.

However, good news that Japan will see some of the missing Generations toys

I think Takara might only be using their Legends line for, well, legends. The big name guys.

I wonder if this will have any affect on the quality/number of paint apps?
