    Default Headmasters Mini-Casettes

    So I was thinking about collecting the various G1 mini cassettes (or just one of each mold) when I came across the info for these 2 combiners:

    - Legout (Dial+Saur).
    - Decibel (Graphy+Noise).

    and also

    - Enemy (Frenzy/Rumble recolor).

    These were rather a turn off as I cant seem to find them for sale anywhere and what info is available suggests they would go for obscene prices.

    So I'm curious as to how much they would be worth and iif there is much chance I would ever find them for a reasonale cost (<$100).
    Which brings us to where we are today...

    I just did a bit of googling & it seems as though they're even rarer then hen's teeth (probably due to the fact that they were released only in Japan in '87).

    Some collectors have them (TFSource & Alex Bickmore) but I'd say there's next-to-nothing chance that they'd ever be sold for under $100...

    (given the rarity of these cassettes & the 6 individual Japanese Headmaster Heads - I'd say they'd be priced very similarly to each other... )

    If you were looking for Enemy, You'd probably be searching for 5 years & still your search would most probably come up empty handed...

    Thanks Pulse.

    Yeah, I figured these will be really hard to get. Probably not worth the time.

    Not that I actually care about MISB/MOSC etc, just the bots.

    Those combiner tapes are very rare. However if you do manage to get them we can remove them from the "Collective collection what are we missing" list.

    Enemy might be a bit easier to find, but you have to break the toy off of the radio.

    Thanks Paulbot,

    So no one in this country seems to hve them? Damn...

    By 'Enemy' I actually meant MC-01 Micross whch uses the Frenzy/Rumble mold, not the actual proper Enemy with the tape deck

    Looks like I'm not gonna find these any time soon.

    Do tell...?

    Is that the one where the seller backed out or something over payment?

    Combiner Cassettes? You'll be lucky to get the four of them for under $1000, let alone $100.

    I meant $100 each for loose.

    Seeing as I managed to get Grandslam, Raindance, Beastbox and Squawktalk for $53 (some wear on Squawkbox and only 2 weapons tho), I started to look to see if there were any others I was unaware of... and sure enough... AAAARRRRGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The other four don't even look as good and they're not Soundwave's minions which makes it harder to actually want to front the money. But I am now compelled by the completionist in me...

    ...if only Takara still had the Micross mould... not only would a Rumble/Frenzy reissue be sweet as - but an Encore Enemy wouldn't go too far astray either!

    ToyFare Guide prices:
    Graphi = US$200 MISB US$50 LM
    Noise = US$200 MISB US$50 LM
    Dial = US$300 MISB US$85 LM
    Zauru = US$300 MISB US$85 LM

    P.S.: Remember that these are just guide prices. For toys that are so rare (especially outside of Japan) it really becomes a seller's market.
