Can't really comment as I do not know the amount of diecast, or quality of it.
It's a pity the didn't release this instead, and sadly my gokin has reached.

    Just opened my gokin
I can see the leg attachment issue, and I think I be scoring a bit down points on that lock mechanism as it may wear out.

Somehow, it didn't feel as metal as what I thought it was going to be. I do like the ratchet joints, but I still feel the fist was a bad design, it should have allowed me to shoot the head if I insert it at any 90 degree angle if it was hard to do a launching head.

The face, does look awkward to me for a moment, but after a while I didn't mind it.

What bugs me is that if you guys say the Toyami isn't as cool, then I guess its probably a turd in comparison.

The new Toyami voltron looks more proportion, but I am again finding the fist a bit angled? I guess you can't win everything.

I would rate 8/10 for this toy.

Just looking at the new toyami voltron and I wonder anyone feel that the bottom lions heads look smaller than usual? I was just about to think they might pull off a great piece but the heads look kind of weird even for the fist at an angle.

Is this a Voltron Force version?

It's the "Let's make Voltron look like he's made up of 5 dogs" version.

    Seriously, they look like dogs.

I am going to agree here, it looks a bit off, the Voltron looked okay at first glance then I noticed the heads on the bottom feet looks small and out.

I think this is more like a action figure version.

I was going to say something about your comment about it being all plastic..

Can't say, but being Toyami, they have taken HG approach, and that's to nail any third party from making Voltron. I have read rocketpunch Army that when he reviewed the 30th anniversary version he had chat with Toyami, and said he was a nice chap and said he isn't against third party but I doubt it.

Pretty much you were right, WEP has given exclusive rights to them, and we will never see a Voltron toy made by Bandai or anyone else with license.

As for this new toy, I think only Voltron mode appeals to me, but the foot looks off.

Interesting... I don't hate it, but they certainly do look like dogs. I happily await colour pictures and more news. But to be honest the lions look a bit too stylised for my tastes. Although if the price is good, why the hell not?
