Australia is roughly 20% cheaper after the exchange rate and that is before any sales. Grumble, grumble
Holy starscreams that's expensive. Will be cheaper for you to fly here and pick them up during a sale.

Yep, certainly made me pause on getting locally.
Have to be a minimum of 25% off to get locally and that does not happen often with Lego

Got the Lego movie Spaceship for fathers day. Does anyone know what the numbers on the license plate behind the cockpit mean. ?

It's a 'cheat code' for the lego movie playstation/x box game. I can't remember what it unlocks, but it's specifically for the game.

Wow, this thread is full of epic barrels of awesome!! I'm pretty envious

I don't collect lego for the simple reason that once I started I probably wouldn't be able to stop, I have enough space issues just collecting Transformers, and I already have to budget out some things so I can afford others.

having said that, I bought Benny's Spaceship Spaceship SPACESHIP!! in the big W sale this week, and I'm going to try to talk my wife into building it with me, then we'll look at it for a few days before dismantling it and putting it away so we can have our coffee table back.

There is something about this set and the way it represents more than half of the lego I had (and still have in a bucket at my parents house) when I was a youngster.

Hopefully not, it's made even harder in that I have 3 friends who are all independently into collecting lego. two of them, their wife blames me for it, even though I warned them both before they started, and proceeded to tell them that if they call me at 2am on a lego fuelled eBay bender I will only tell them yes. . something to do with being a bad influence
the third friend has been collecting since before we met at uni and she's got so much that she's had a dedicated lego room for years, her husband can't blame me because it started before we met.

for the moment, I live vicariously through them.
