Default Toy Review - Cyberverse Optimus Prime (Ultimate)

    OPTIMUS PRIME
    Series - Cyberverse
    Size/class - Ultimate
    New/remould/redeco - New
    Wave - 1
    Released here - Yes (8/2018)
    Approximate Retail Price - $60
    Approximate Size - 24cm
    Allegiance - Autobot
    Alt-mode - Truck cab
Main Features/Gimmicks - Matrix Mega Shot
    Main Colours - red, blue
Main Accessories - None. Why should a $60 toy have any accessories?

    PROS
+ Robot mode has a reasonable amount of articulation. Waist and wrist articulation would be nice, but it's not uncommon for even Leader Class figures to not have these things.
+ Imposing robot mode that isn't too badly compromised by the gimmick
+ Reasonably good amount of decos in robot mode

    CONS
    - The headlight panels cover the hands. For a $60 toy these panels really ought be able to shift out of the way.
    - Truck mode is somewhat compromised by the gimmick, particularly with the lack of a proper front bumper and otherwise bulky truck mode
    - No accessories!?

    OVERALL
Not a terrible figure but it simply does not begin to justify its $60 price point. Maybe if this toy were $40 or cheaper, but it's just not worth paying full price for.

The 'Matrix Mega Shot' looks terrible. The mass of blue plastic on it resembles a bumhole with warts. The lack of panel articulation for the fists is pathetic in a figure of that price range. Not a fan.

Now I know why these toys make me feel bummed out.
