i guess it all depends on the feedbacks they received at botcon.

I am curious to know whether this set sold out so quickly because of:

    A) The incredible awesomeness of last years and nasty scalpers jumping on it.
    B) People are really, really, really, liking the figures or
    C) the guys at Botcon thought it was a bit of a weak idea and just didn't make enough.

I would laugh mightily (and cry a little having bought one myself) if they ended up selling for less on secondary market. Could it be that Botcon just didn't tale into account the amount of TF excitement brought about by the movie?

Just saw the auction for that jazz above! OMG! Thats just nuts!

My gut feeling is this one.

To be fair, while this set has its detractors, it's a lot better than some of the previous BotCon sets - the 2005 set was a mixture of good (Ironhide) and just plain crap (Buzzclaw)... with no real common thread. The alternate reality idea _is_ good, and it unifies the toys, so even if they're not up to the awesome standard of the last two years, they will make some money for scalpers

I agree exactly with Dirge. Earlier BotCon box sets where not as good as the last two, and those last two sets IMHO have given people (too) high expectations.

That's with a day to go. Expect another $100 or so on the final price.

I can deal with someone spending that sort of money on a limited set... but it's a lot to give to a seller with a feedback rating of 0!

I notice it has finished now for $us405!!

Now the seller has negative feedback which was recievd in the past day or so, Oddly enough, the auction for negative f/back is for Botcon '08 Prime. Only got to $100.

My spider sense is telling me perhaps that the seller doesn't really have them in hand. Selle does have another Prime up for auction.
