did anyone else cringe when Mark Wahlberg says "I think we just found a transformer".

aside from that, trailer looks good, can't wait!

I love Marky Mark, always have. Ever since I watched The Basketball Diaries. So no cringing from me

So instead of "boy meets car" we get "dad meets truck"?

Its got a feel more akin to the first film: human heavy first hour, slowly introduce concept of transformers and charactersthat will spend all screen time fighting, then big battle in the city.

I was suprised the shot of prime ontop of Grimlock wasnt shown.

Looks about the same as I was expecting, not much transformers other than fights.

His head has explosions because of a bit of a ye' ol backhand?

I did like the trailer though.

I think it needs to be this way in Bay's point of view to appeal to the audiences, he's most-likely targeted the film towards to the once teenage boys of 2007 that have become men or fathers over the years and Mark Wahlberg, the struggling father that's doing everything he can to provide for his family will make him relatable to the millions of younger fathers out there. You use a basic family element in your storyline to gather a wider audience base.

I'd love a Transformers movie where there is little to no human interaction, but it runs the risks (despite heaps of people saying they'd love just to see robots killing each other) of lacking the humanity element which draws audiences into it.

I have one friend at work who's a young father that I introduced to Transformers collecting. His wife hates me because he spends so much money on them
