It's looking like the "G1 Reunion" TFCon in LA last week was just a one-off special event, not their annual American convention.... as they have just announced their "2019" America Convention being in October (the usual part of the year), in Washington DC. (actually in Virginia, some distance from the territory of Washington of DC)

October 25-27 2019, at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, Virginia.

I'm probably wrong, however I thought TFCon was always twice a year?

Yep, usually 2... one in Canada (where it started) around August, and one in America (since the downfall of botcon) around October. The one this month in LA looks like it could be a one-off in addition to the regular one in America.

The Canadian TFCon in July has Bob Budiansky as a guest (writer of the original series comic and creator of all of the early character bios).

Hasbro has started revealing their SDCC stuff for Star Wars. Transformers can't be too far behind?

The voice of Tigatron is still around (Blu Mankuma), and will be a guest at the July TFCon in Canada.
