Default Transformers: The Movie 30th Anniversay Edition

According to the official Transformers FB page, Transformers: The Movie will be receiving a remaster to coincide with the 30th Anniversary, with the release expected for September.

No information as to how this will differ from the previous versions unfortunately.

Sadly this is a Shout Factory release according to the US fan sites.

I have a list of all G1 characters that have been released in CHUG form. You can find it here. Please feel free to let me know if I got anything wrong so I can fix it.

IIRC... wasn't this already 'remastered' by Sony only a couple of years ago?

I've already got the regular version, the remastered version, the Uk edition and the Blu Ray of the movie

Should I be able to resist this copy of it - sure. Will I be able to ... maybe

Lol Trev, and I thought my purchasing of blu-ray versions of what I already had was bad

So have you noticed any actual differences in remastered versions? Are they worth getting?

Not really, I actually find more difference between the DVD and Blu Ray versions - I saw little details like the Autobot symbol on Optimus steering wheel when watching the Blu Ray I had never noticed in the 2000 odd veiwings of the movie before

Yup, a great label, so I don't really understand the complaint (unless it's about being locked to BD zone A).

Look at their Freaks & Geeks box set to see how good they are to the content. Also, Scream Factory (their horror label) - one of the best in the business.

I definitely noticed a few extra details watching the Blu Ray, mostly background detail. It is very nice.

Similarly I have multiple versions of this film, but one more couldn't hurt!

Shout Factory region locks their stuff.

I still have not been able to get my Season 2 and 3 TFP disk (or rather a rip of them) to run on my Xbox One, PS4, etc.
