    Default Not transformer related but...

I currently have a macross figurine which is half yellowed from the previous owner.

I'm wondering if it's something that's prevalent with transformer toys as well (definitely the G1 jetfire, for very obvious reasons) and if you guys know of ways to clean/remedy/fix it?

it's quite common, especially in the older toys.

there is a thread, which I don't remember the title of, that deals with using a peroxide bath to bleach the toys back to white. It has a fair bit of helpful feedback with regards to volumes to use and leaving in sunlight to activate etc.

make sure you remove all metal before bathing and be prepared for stickers to be destroyed. I don't know how translucent plastic will behave.

It's white plastic so peroxide should do the trick. Just a bit worried on taking apart a 200 bucks figure ><

Vintage figures pull apart remarkably well. Just make sure you don't loose the screws as they are often of a unique size and pay attention to where they are from.

It's not that old, released in 2009.

Worst case scenario I'll try the cotton swab trick on the underside.
