Reading though that article,it states that no real technological advances have been made from the 1960s. Wow.

That's a bit crazy and odd. You'd think they would've made quitte a few changes, especially recently...

But then some things just stay the same. Until the shift to didgital, the core of cinema projection had stayed essentially the same since it's inception. Even Digital still uses the base concept and flashes separate frames.
