Default Takara Tomy to Celebrate 20th Anniversary of Beast Wars in 2016

    From Seibertron:

TakaraTomy designer Hisashi Yuki has Tweeted a New Years photo featuring the Beast Wars Metals X-9 Metals Jaguar figure, which was a Japanese exclusive retool of Transmetal Cheetor released as Ravage back in 1999. The photo contains the message of あけましておめでとうごがいます, which seems to be a typoed form of あけましておめでとうございます, which means "Happy New Year".

But the real meat of this Tweet is the text that accompanies the photo, in which Yuki announces that TakaraTomy will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Beast Wars with Beast Wars-related events and toys planned for release in 2016!

Oh man! This looks like it's gonna be good!

Oh yeah! I'm getting excited as well! Even if they just re-release some of the older figures, i'd be happy, but they probably have more than that planned!

Plus it's great to hear that they haven't forgotten BW, what with all the fanfare over the G1 MPs that are getting released in the first half of the year.

Good news for those BW inclined. I'd love that Ravage but that's about it for my interest. Maybe if they redo the Generations Rattrap and Rhinox in their Transmetal modes I might be tempted (don't think they've made a second use of those molds which is unusual these days).

If Takara is going to do the 20 year anniversary of BW then I hope Hasbro is going to do the 30 year anniversary of TF:TM

One would have to think that a G1 Optimus special edition would be on the cards, oh ooo ooo, a three pack with sleep convoy, Rodimus and Ultra Magnus. Sorry for the slight hi-jack of the topic.

I do look forward to what will be done with Beast Wars, such a great toy line and so many solid characters from the show to do.
    I still function.....................while killing threads. ;-)
