yeah but to be fair, I can see where Decepticon's coming from -- the jetwing truck mode reduces the effectiveness of the truck being a "robot in disguise."

But in the film the Jetwing is part of Optimus Prime's fight tech which he stores inside his trailer. He doesn't use it in alt mode and only whips it out when fighting in bot mode - but as I said, the ability to have the jetwing attach in truck mode makes it more versatile as a toy accessory and offers more play value.

My cousin who is a teacher said that one of her year 1s brought one of these in for show and tell last week.

Christ some kids have it lucky - I remember before I got a job every leader class toy was a Christmas or Birthday thing.
I'm really just here for the free food and open bar.

Jetwing Prime with his wings deployed as is pictured on the box:

Wings folded down like in the movie.

I prefer the fully deployed wings, but I must admit that when I was watching DotM for the second time, I did have the wings down as I was playing along with the scene.

Bumped into SIfun today and he mentioned he thought there were no electronics in Prime based on my initial so I will actually clarify there ARE electronics and sounds. You just need to insert batteries.
