no paint issue so far. ill keep my eye on it and see if the paint does peel off and will post if it ever does.

So it looks like Engineer Huff is the better option..?
For me this one definitely wins the Huff look alike cartoon figure.

Just look pass it's flaws (mine fell apart ) it is G1 cartoon accurate especially if you change the face (came with another face).

Over all happy with him and he definitely fits my masterpiece shelf.

Cool, thanks. Will have to look into him and Pipes.
Which brings us to where we are today...

Great pics. Makes me really want one.

However, the repeated QC just puts me off. I can't justify a figure that's going to flop about. A real shame. It's kind of like KFC, great design, poor QC. Such a shame.

Agree, it is a shame... on robot form he is wicked and does a good job. The more i spend time with him the more i understand its weak points. On Robot mode he is firm (except for the loose hips but that was fixed easily). its when he transforms is where the problem is and you have to be very careful. I will still buy another one and just leave him in Alt mode so i don't have to keep transforming....

IMHO if QC is a big question, he is not as fragile as "ToyWorld BII" aka Bumblebee. But they do look good together.... The Fragile bots.....

The only good thing about the Toyworld BII aka Bumblebee is that he can fit the voyager line up as well as the masterpiece line up... Huff can only belong on the Masterpiece shelf.

As for the Autobot scale guide

note: I placed kup on both photo above for reference guide

IMHO they are a perfect fit also for MP-01

Someone on Bad Cube's facebook page asked about them redoing Huff. They replied with:

after 2015, too full this year, it will be a better version and quality
Could be good news for those of us who want their version of Pipes too.
Which brings us to where we are today...

Hmm next year? Not sure to wait or not, I've been looking to get one of these for a while now, as I'd like a different mould for Huffer. I have xtranspots not-Pipes and want Huff to be different (even though they're not really supposed to be).

Just not really a fan of chrome arms on krank compared to the grey ones on huff.

huff is not too bad and looks pretty good!

i've had it now for 6 months and its still fine. Fragile but as long as you are careful with him, he is fine.

    I have Huff too now.

But I would prefer BadCube/Cubex's interpretation of Pipes as well.

Krank and Stax are good, but not as good as Huff.
