As mentioned before, I have also noticed an increase in QC issues from Takara Tomy products.

However Hasbro suffers mainly from being cheap bastards and cutting in production costs so a lot of their bad QC is mainly due to cheap paints that rub off, thin plastic that stresses or don't encase ball joints properly and other related troubles.

Hasbro also has a large degree of 'standard' bad QC similar to Takara Tomy in the sense of the odd mispainted figures and so on but I guess both companies will never get rid of such issues as long as they outsource all of their manufacturing to third party factories where is impossible to ensure the quality of every figure.

Personally I am still going for henkei as the possibility of bad QC is present in both companies but at least I know that with Takara Tomy, I will not be given a cheaply painted figure where the paint is more likely to end up in my hands after the first transformation.

Takara Tomy's troubles are with the odd figure (although this 'odd' figure is sadly increasing in occurance) while Hasbro's bad QC is clearly systematic for cost cutting.
