Wow, I really dont' like these at all. I am amazed they didn't drop the Ratbat mold into the soundwave set.

The only interest for me would be seeing the inner workings of soundwave without pulling him apart but not going to buy it for that.

these are too out there for me.

I didn't want Soundwave when he was just a normally coloured robot that turned into a box, but now that he's a fugly robot that turns into a fugly box, I'm literally all over that.

Yeah, I have this thing about alternate colour schemes and variants. Sue me.

I don't get it...what's the connection with the Year of the Goat?

Come to think of it, what was the deal with last year too?

I was thinking maybe it had something to do with the Element, but next year is a Wood Goat and clear-and-bronze seems to have about as much to do with Wood as a microcassette recorder has to do with goats...

Yeah, none of the Lunar Calendar New Year TFs are ever related to the animal of that year, despite the fact that we have TFs with alt modes for each of the Lunar Calendar animals (as Paulbot pointed out, Ramulus would've been a more logical choice) except the Chicken (though MP Laserbeak/Buzzsaw would suffice ).

OP's deployed trailer looks like a toy make-up kit.

Year of the Goat is known to be one of the crappier animals of the Chinese calendar.. these repaints total fit in with that.
