Am I the only one who thinks Thurston shouldn't of won the Clive Churchill medal?

With the public holiday I was able to watch NFL Redzone on ESPN. Great to see the Rams pick up a tough win against the Cardinals. Very impressed with the maturity of Gurley to slow down and go down eating up the clock as opposed to getting a few extra yards and going out of bounds. He will be a great asset

Correct I too think Thurston shouldn't have got the Churchill medal but i think it was to make it so he now has got every award possible in the game. Yah he was good and in allot in the last 15 but I think Morgan should have got it. I think it was a little bit like in 09 when Slater got it pretty much because of the Hayne vs Slater think

Funny you should ask - since Hayne joined there's been quite a few Aussie centric topics created on 49ers forums that I am a regular visitor of. Over the last couple of weeks however, there's been a definite drop-off coinciding with Hayne's two fumbled balls and ever-shrinking game time. Calls for him to be immediately inducted into Canton have subsided as well

Big news (mostly bad) for the NRL over the last few days.
Lodge being an idiot again but clearing more cap space at the Tigers
Cleary dumped at Panthers after shocking runs with injury
The CEO stands down after a series of good/bad decisions and media bungles catches up with him after the massive stuff up of television rights. A shame as once he got past the muddling of names, teams and having no knowledge of the game he was looking like he might end up doing not too bad a job.

Worst of all I think are the DV charges against El Masri, one of the most respected players (and a bulldog at that) and a spokesperson for the white ribbon group as well as DV charges against Rhys Wesser, another much respected retired player. If guilty I hope (but know they won't) get locked up and given more than suitable punishment.
