For those who have watched the Japanese Gen1 cartoon, or any of his other works - Seizo Kato, the voice of Gen1 Megatron and Galvatron in Japan, has died after suffering from bladder cancer. He was 86.

Agreed; if there was anything that would give the engineers reason to want to do another one, I think it would definitely be to honour his memory.
