Default Masterpiece Ultra Magnus - Stencilator style

    Hey Ozformers

Our fellow TF fan Turtle Boy, in his quest to complete his collection of MP variations, has commissioned me to repaint his MP02 to look like he's wearing his armour. TB said he didn't have to transform... which he can't (well he could but he'd look stupid), but I did manage to keep all his posability - opening chest, ball jointed head, removable missile launchers.

Anyway I hope you like him.

    Cheers

    Stencilator

Very nice Stencilator, I'm trying Tamiya spray cans on an old G1 Optimus I'm refurbishing, do you use sprays or brush painting

I use both. For this figure I brush painted more than usual because the crap weather in Sydney lately kept me indoors. A small tip, do all the spray painting first, acrylic paint (I used Tamiya acrylics) will paint over enamel spray (I use Tamiya spray as well) but enamel spray will not work over acrylic paint. The enamel thins the acrylic and it will run and/or bubble and ruin the finish.

For Liegeprime and Borgeman... sorry but no. I think he's a bit fragile with all his extras and I don't want to play with him too much before I send him off to Turtle Boy... keep him as minty as possible. You all know how he transforms, the cab will have a red top, blue down the sides, the chest plate sticking out the front, and the white stacks sticking up from the top.

    Thanks for the compliments.

Thats a sweet paintjob. I also like the size comparison with the alternators, really suits I think.
