    Default Small christmas/new year competition with prizeeee :)

    Alright well boys and girls I have some little transformer related items which I have decided to give away in the spirit of christmas. It may not be big but i'm sure we all want a little suprise

    However by no means will it be as easy as that!

    We are going to play a little game. I'm going to specify a certain date and time and whoever posts the following first at that time and date (EST) will receive the small prize!:

    'MERRY CHRISTMAS OZFORMERS AND HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!'

    I will post them out to the winner for free and you can do whatever you want with them, give them to siblings, the less fortunate or whatever

    DATE AND TIME (should let you have christmas day gatherings and still time for shopping :P):

    December Saturday 27th

    QLD = AEST (UTC+10) 7.30 PM
    NSW (except Broken Hill), ACT, VIC, TAS = AEDT (UTC+11) 8.30 PM
    SA, NT & Broken Hill NSW = ACDT (UTC+10½) 8 PM
    WA = AWDT (UTC+9) 6.30 PM
    NZ = NZDT (UTC+13) 10.30 PM

    Let's see if the server can handle a full load of people trying to post at once hehe

    A reminder that Queensland is the only state currently under EST. NSW and VIC are currently under EDT. (Reference)

    In reference to Gok's posting, you might want to list the times relevent to the major AUS timezones. Since there isn't technically a 'EST', especially during Daylight saving, you may want to list:
    QLD - ???
    NSW,ACT,VIC,TAS - ???
    SA/NT - ???
    WA - ???
    and maybe NZ for our NZ members.

    Actually according to the Australian government web site (see link in my last post) Australian EST (AEST) is "is equal to Coordinated Universal Time plus 10 hours (UTC +10)."

    As for daylight savings time, the site says "Where daylight saving is being observed.....AEST becomes Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT), and clocks are advanced to UTC +11."

    Man - this is one totally confusing comp!!!

    So, if you're in SA - do you have to post at 8pm then???? Is that what you're saying?

    My head hurts!

    Weird. Poo-time for me is usually first thing in the morning. Postponing might not be a good idea Iceman.
