So I finally watched this the other day - & I actually liked it. Despite all the hate directed towards it by some people on the net, I thought it was a pretty good superhero movie. In admitting that I haven't read a Marvel/DC comic in years (& never being a massive fan of the X-Men movies), I definitely think this was an improvement over the Wolverine Origins movie from a few years back. This one had a tonne of kick-ass fight scenes, the pissed-off Wolverine was well & truly back, sure that Silver Samurai was 100% CGI but I still thought they pulled it off pretty well & what can I say about Viper? Svetlana Khodchenkova was a fantastic choice!

Despite not being quite as good as the recent Avengers & Batman movies, I'd still give Wolverine a solid 3 1/2 stars out of 5.

It's also given me a bit of an itch to watch the upcoming X-Men movie. Damn you Jacko!

Watched Giorgio Moroder's Metropolis last night after listening to the soundtrack at work. It's been about 20 years since I last saw it but a lot of scenes stood out in my memory. Some really good crowd scenes in it.

And Rotwang is a dude.

Grace Randolph (one of my favourite critics) said the movie was great but much more mainstreamed this time around and they really nerf'd Hit-Girl. They made her much weaker in this one for some reason.

Saw The Wolverine. Loved it, great personal story but not so much a good X-Men all action movie. A solid 9.5/10.

I watched that last night. Very well done. Had me trying to solve the crime all movie. Even when I did work it out I wasn't 100% certain due to all the misdirection.
