Are genuine G1 transformers the only ones with Rubsigns? Is that an easy way to tell them apart.

Initially in the 80s? - Yes, Rubsigns were originally introduced to the line as a way of distinguishing 'The Real Deal' if I remember correctly; However, this is no longer the case at all due to the internet making things like Reproduction stickers easily acquirable.

Man, with all these counterfeits out there its damn hard to collect these things. How do you differentiate real from fake over the internet?
Star Wars figures were much easier.

This is the best shot of KO first aid I have. If it doesn't have that pin the one on the right does its legit. (but it could still be the classic reissue!)

I think the reissue should have factory-applied stickers on the rear side windows.

Are blue eyes common on Cybertron and other planets where tfs live? I don't have comics so i dunno. but Maximals and Preds have red and green. is that an organic thing? And is there a generational difference?

The blue eyes for (most) Autobots (and red for (most) Decepticons) is a G1 cartoon shortcut (like their weapon fire and equipment being uniform colours). Cybertronians have all sorts of coloured eyes and it's all pretty random ...

    (except in that old cartoon).

Just to add to what Paul is saying, MP Grimlock even comes with a gimmick whereby you can change his eyes from blue (cartoon accuracy) to red which was the colour used for the G1 toy.
