Wow I spose it's a good run that this thread went a month without a post, but tonight i was just falling asleep early for the first time since, well, the last post in this thread basically, when an almighty crack of thunder awoke me, snapped awake and decided to go down stairs for a drink... only to find my garage/kitchen/dining room/cupboard under the stairs being flooded.

Guess it was flash flooding that the drain the driveway couldnt handle all at once... Old thick chair cushion in the doorway and I moved the small shelf next to thetv to lift the rug and began sweeping water away. Half an hour of sweeping/mopping and now i cant sleep ... Nothing damaged except cardboard boxes from appliances luckily.

Thanks yeah all the empty boxes at the front of the cupboard provided enough buffer to protect the full ones until we blocked the water.

Lucky i'd recently replaced our 'documents box' at the front of the cupboard with a styrofoam box (like lite'n'easy, cheapo esky etc).

Spent about 6 hours over the past two days with a brush cutter teaching the waist high grass and blackberries on our block a lesson.

The grass on the block is now levelled, but my hands are now covered in popped blisters.

Have only been back at work a week after more than a month off over christmas whilst our baby was born... and man have i ever forgotten how to do my job!

I'm coding around in circles and just exhausting myself over-thinking shit just to make a website that's the easiest for a client to manage (when in reality they don't care as much as i do). Sigh!
