I'm not sure how I'm going to seal off the top. It was going to be an extra $8-9 for a lid which wasn't air tight. I was thinking maybe a lot of glad wrap?

I could be wrong, but they look like some sort of cold air induction type setup.

thats pretty much it they feed air from the front fairing to the fuel tank to help the performance of the fuel and engine dont know the exact science behind it
