    Over $130? Damn...

Direct link here to the Amazon Japan page in case anyone needs it later.
(The link at TFW is a viglink "fundraiser" link... I may support their site by forwarding people to their pages without anything in return, but I don't want to force others to be funding their site if they prefer not to.)

    12,960yen - December 10th

Usually toys aren't available to foreigners, but since this is listed as a DVD with a "free" bonus toy, it is available for foreigners like us to buy it (it's not the first time they've done this, and some of us have bought past movie exclusive DVD/toy combos).
But best to wait until it goes on sale if you aren't desperate for it.

That really is a sweet paint job. but I already have my Movie Hound and can't come close to justifying that price.

how do they even afford that stuff? i'm guessing a lot of dvds and blu rays reach the bargain bin pretty fast.

Weird mixture of disposable income, nerds and nationalism. If Japanese DVD/Bluray were too expensive to be bought they would have come down in price a long time ago, but I guess it seems to work for them? Pretty ridiculous though.

The rental market is till pretty strong in Japan as well. Although I am still not entirely sure how many people buy DVDs/Blurays etc.

I think Ploughman's lunch has a fairly good summary of the reasons why there.
