Default Transformers Platinum Edition Grimlock Vs. Decepticon Bruticus

    Evening everyone,

Just wondering, as for a while i had quite a bit of a hiatus from working on my transformers collection. But was there or is there going to be an Australian release of Platinum Edition Grimlock Vs Bruticus? I played FoC finished it with both endings and would love to have this in my collection. Or did i miss the boat on this one?

    Cheers

    EDIT: corrected a spelling mistake

This has been released in Australia at TRU. Haven't seen any on the shelves for a while though. If you're after the FOC Grimlock mould, the Target 2 pack with Optimus is $45 right now.

I did get that Grimlock Pack but i also have a soft spot for combiners.
I thought the Grimmy mold would've been different from the Target 2 pack.

That pack was $169.99 when released, but was available for 20% off at one point also. Something to keep in mind when you're looking around

Believe they are the same fig. Don't have the Platinum set but from pics I've seen it looks the same as it also had that shiny gold you see on the Target 2 set. Might be some differences but I don't have one to compare.

Pretty sure I've seen a member selling a FOC Bruticus recently in the sales thread. Perhaps a post in the Toy Scout section might bring some luck.

My worst TF purchase in 2013. And that's with the 20% off at TRU that Sinnertwin mentioned. But each to their own. Best of luck.

It's been and gone in Australia. You can still buy it for $100US from BBTS

I've been trying to do some research and there
seems to be several versions of bruticus.
The SDD FoC seems to be the best version in respect of
colour scheme. I looked at the Energon version
and I don't like the almost Fluro bright colours

The Platinum set is very close to the SDCC set (watched a comparison vid, the difference is negligible). I believe I saw 1 or 2 Platinum sets at TTP TRU here in Adelaide a week ago, but that would be + postage, so you're better off taking up Krayts offer or try Trevs suggestion of BBTS.
