Tired to play with it in the bubble wrap, but it just didnt seem right whooshing a large rectangular box around the lounge room. Hard to recreate OVA dynamic flight scenes...

I open ALL my toys collectibles.
"MISB" is just some herb in a container to me.

PS - it was very satisfying to know that after all those years, I was the first one to handle it tho
    That's how it should be.

So over the past couple of months since Delta finished, I have watched:
    Macross Plus (OVA)
    Macross Plus (movie)
    SDF:Macross (all eps)
Macross: Do You Remember Love? (movie)
    Macross Frontier (OVA)
Macross 7 Dyamite (seriously, wtf was that...?)

I have to admit that for some reason I really like and appreciate Plus way more than I ever previously did.
And I enjoyed my 3rd run of MacF more than any other anime. Ever.

So much so, that I couldnt help myself and bought another Valk. Which seems to happen each time I watch MacF.

First time was a VF-25F renewal
Second was a YF-29 Isamu (cause I watched the movies straight after the OVA)
    Third was this badass sweetheart...

Came with a nice Ironman2 Japanese promo booklet in the box too!!

This is now my fav Valk from Frontier.

    My three MacF Valks together

    Boring-ish details for anyone interested:
First edition VF-27. Jungle B-spec, complete. $102 + $50 p/h. Mailed last Wed, arrived today. I expect there may be some battroid floppy limbs...

    TF Figs of 2023:
    1) WnR Springer
    2) Legacy Bludgeon
    3) Legacy Leo Prime/Nemesis Leo Prime.

....and just because I had my most precious and favourite Valk (the YF-29) down off the stand/shelf, here are my two Isamu birds.

Yamato 1/60 and Bandai 1/60 don't really seem to match up well...

You could buy the vf-19 advance by bandai and it should match

Very cool, but 'Macross: Do You Remember Love?' OVA > Anything, ever.

Which reminds me, Gwyn Campbell posted this a few days ago on the Macross Australia Club:

If you haven't picked it up yet, Do You Remember Love is 30% off at Amazon Japan. (Uncut version, bluray, region free, no subs)

Which brings us to where we are today...

The no subs would be the issue for me. Otherwise I would buy it

Aw crap, I forgot to put this on the list. I rewatched as soon as I finished the SDF:M eps.

It's one of the few foreign films I've seen enough times not to need subs.

I think Plus is still my favourite Macross series, DYRL and the original are more epic, but Plus has a bit more emotion and the sound track is awesome.

I'd still like to see a straight remake of the original Macross with updated visuals, even though 3D animated mecha are somehow more lifeless than 2D ones.

Sure that's not because the terrible English dub is etched into your brain?
