yup the claw is great. I opened my metal build, and it already feels very metallic paint unlike my OO series. I have to say it is a good piece.

Wonder what metal build will they do next. I am very surprised for the stock levels for this piece though.

    Cool 1/48 AGE-1 Gundam

yeah post more of your work VGM !! love seeing them as well....
Ok you asked for it! haha.. Lots of pictures as I did a lot to this one.
    1/48 Age-1 Gundam
First I didnt like how the knees, feet and ankles where limited, so I created my own and fixed these parts, also added detail in the feet like the thrusters. Please note this is my FIRST time working with Pla Plate and making my own parts. So be gentle. haw haw.

    Knee joint.

Notice anything different between the two?

More of a bend. To get the bend you would need to unlock the upper thigh by pulling up. This allows the leg to remain stable if standing upright.

    Titling to the max.

Next, added detail to the back of the skirts.

I also allowed them to move higher for kneeling positions. (one in the back is the After)

Back skirts didnt move at all. What to do.. thought pretty long about this one and how to make them function... result, use magnets!

    Cut skirts off.

    Add detail.

    Add magnets.

Waist. It was a big problem. Only moved side to side. Where is the articulation?
Chopped it up and added parts to it.

Now it moves as it should.

Added a function for it to move side to side.
    This is the Normal position.

Want to move side to side? Lift up!

    Piston Detail.

Cut off back cylinders to make more shiny.

Shoulder joints.. Circular movement only. Unacceptable.
Cut it up and created better movement.

Shoulder piece now moves up out of the way. Arm now also moves foward and back, up and down.

Elbow joint. Same plague as knee joint. Need to fix, also extended the arm to make it longer.

    Added detail in arms.

    Shield. Added detail.
    Before.

    After.

What is not shown is (I dont have picture of) I added lights in the light sabers and the gun. Also made it so that when he holds it, they light up. Take them off they shut off. This was not easy and frustrating to figure out.

I lied. Found an image of the light saber/knife.

I also added detail in all the parts that were hollow including the shoulders as well as some metal parts for detail.

    Final product?
Can your 1/48 AGE-1 do this??

Most of my ideas came from the 1/100 version since it is SO much better in terms of articulation.

    Hope you like.

Oh I forgot to add these 2 pics.

    Added detail inside of knees:

Added magnets in the back and in the gun so it can be clipped on to the back.

Oh they are great when you want to stick together two parts.
They are also great for joints. If you decide to use them, use earth magnets. They may be small in size and man the weight they can hold is amazing!

Do you take part in any of the gunpla competition?

    Your work is quite good.
