Default IDW Bumblebee Movie prequel comic

IDW returns to the Movie Universe with a prequel comic to the upcoming Bumblebeee movie, to be released really early, in June. (I guess it might have been planned and scheduled for the original release of the movie in that month)

Just be aware that the following synopsis could be a spoiler for the Movie itself, if this has any bearing on the type of story we will see on-screen... or it could be completely unrelated, with maybe a few tiny Easter Eggs thrown in that aren't vital for the Movie itself (so that you won't need to read this to watch the movie, and therefore, won't have anything too major to spoil the movie six months later).

It says issue one, so will probably be four issues... but could be six if they are wanting to have it released monthly and have it conclude just as the Movie is being released.

Transformers: Bumblebee Movie Prequel #1
  • Cover A: Andrew Griffith
  • Cover B: Fico Ossio
  • Written: John Barber
  • Art: Andrew Griffith
  • In Shops: Jun 20, 2018
  • SRP: $3.99
Synopsis:
“Some call him Goldfender, but the name’s Bee… Bumblebee. On loan to MI6 and teamed with a human partner, Bee’s trapped in the middle of a Cold War plot to disrupt British Secret Intelligence. But when things go wrong, it’s up to Bee to discover if there’s a traitor in their midst. In the spy world, allegiances can change just as easily as a Transformer.
Bullet points:
  • The prequel to the new Bumblebee film (coming this winter), geared towards a younger audience!
  • From the classic Transformers: Robots in Disguise team of John Barber and Andrew Griffith!
  • The perfect sometimes serious, sometimes campy action spy adventure for fans of James Bond, the Avengers TV show, or Mission Impossible!

The TPB for the prequel comic has been found listed for release in October, at 96 pages, which should be three individual issues... so the individual issues should be out June to August, some four months before the Movie comes out.

More spoilers, possibly... with it detailing a spy (James Bond) theme.
It even has the subtitle "From Cybertron with Love", taken from the Bond Movie "From Russia with Love".

Quote:
Synopsis:
Fan-favorite Autobot Bumblebee is recruited for a top secret mission, and 1960s London won’t know what hit it when this robot in disguise goes undercover.
It’s high-tech, high-octane, high-clearance spy hijinks in From Cybertron with Love.

The cover to the TPB compilation of the prequel Bumblebee comic has been revealed... not really giving much away, other than the current look to Bumblebee's head for this movie.

Issue 3 of the prequel comic comes out next week, and a preview that can be seen here, has another Decepticon featured... is it Blitzwing?
It turns into a jet, but there are certainly some tank parts on it.
