As soon as I went to my roll class in the morning, a girl standing at the door said, "Happy Star Wars Day!" to me.

Some kids came to school today with lightsabres, one with a Yoda backpack (looking like Yoda when Luke was piggybacking him during his training on Dagobah) I kept throwing random Star Wars trivia questions at my students today (kids with the most points got lollies ). Funnily enough some of the girls knew more than the boys.

Me: "What is the name of the microscopic organism inside all living things that attunes them to the Force?"
    girl: "Midichlorians!"
Me: "Who is the leader of the Empire?
    boy: "I don't know..."
Me: "Who's the leader of any empire??"
    boy: "Umm... Jedee?"
Me: "What is the name of Luke Skywalker's wife?"
    girl: "Mara Jade!"

One question that none of the kids got, but one kid gave me a cool answer anyway...
Me: "Stardestroyers don't actually destroy stars, but what is the name of the ship that does?"
    "Death Star!"
    "No, that destroys planets."
    "Starkiller!"
Me: "No... but I see what you did there! I'm gonna give you a point!"
    "Yay!"

The answer of course, is Sun Crusher

Do you think he actually knew there was a "Starkiller" in Galen Marek? Or did he happen to just put the words Star and Killer together and hope for the best?

This should be a day of mourning.

I assumed he was referring to Luke's original name in the early versions of the Star Wars script. Aaah, the 70s...

    1975
"So the hero's gonna be called Luke Starkiller."
    "That sounds stupid, George."
    "How about Skywalker?"
    "Better."

    1997
"Here's this alien called Jar Jar Binks. He's goofy and clumsy cos kids will love him."
    "Great idea Mister Lucas, sir!"
